  • US horse racing. Making a living?

    06-03-2012 00:22
As some of you have noticed, i have really tried to trade some other markets than the usual ones i trade. Most markets very early in the mornning. This is because i know that many of you are having a lot of troubles reaching the markets you really want to trade because of your daily work, and family and so on.

So this time i have tried to trade some late races, just to test out a technique i tried some time ago when i started up trading. I know many of you have complained about greyhounds and the low liquidity, well fair enough. It looks like it, but as i have told many of you, it is possible to earn some great money on the dogs.

So back to US horse racing. I opened up some few races just to test out this technique. Its really not anything special, just filling out the gaps and take some few tick here and there.

As many of you know, i dont post screens of my daily horseracing from UK, but as this is a bit different, i have posted a small screen for you, with explanation of the trades below.

1)The first race went  as i hoped. I got some few minimum stake trades here and there, and a great start was made for this late night adventure.

2)Second race went much better than i hoped, i caught a great swing on a low price favourite with some small stakes. Did not expect that at all before the race, as the liquidity wasnt that great. So i thought i was on a roll here!

3)Third race actually went great scalping, but
  • Not again Mike, give us a break!

A break from what? From all my greyhound screenshots? No chance. Here is another one:

But why all these greyhound screenshots? First of all, a lot of greyhound guides have been sold lately, and the response from people has been good, so, to keep the motivation up for my custommers, i will keep on posting screenshots about my results when i got time to trade the dogs. Because i know its hard work in the beginning! So keep up the great work, i see that many of you are doing very well!

One of the guys i have had on my Skype for a long time now, decided to invest in the guide some days ago. I wasnt really expecting any great result when you think about that he has had the guide for about 5 days now, but he gave me some response on how it was going, and what a result he came up with!
I must admit i was a bit impressed. My level in the beginning wasnt anything near this, so i guess some people have a better approach to the market than others, even though the same technique was used.

His comment on the guide was:

Its no formula for succes, but a really good guide that provides an understanding on how the market could be.

As he was using playmoney, he kept his results in excel:

Great work Martin! (Results in dkr)

As many of you know, i am still in NYC in my apartment, but that aint keeping me away from trading! Everything is possible with the right solution, right?

So, thiw europe morning i thought i would give my followers some new screens on the greyhound trading, because some of you have bought the greyhound video guide from my shop, so i thought i would give you some motivation.

Every start is difficult, but its nice to see how people are giving it a shot. Remember to contact me as much as needed on Skype if any of you are having problems with the guide!

Many of you know that this wont happen over night, but it will happen with a lot of practice. So as i have said to the other part of you, that still expect this to happen over night: Have patience and work hard.

10-20 pound a day might not be much when you compare to the time spend on this, but in the beginning its better than having red numbers on your account, right? And still you are getting some great experience while earning money instead of this costing you money. (Hopefully)

Who knows, maybe one day you will reach my level? Or even a level above me?

8 pound on one dog race. That is great work!

Thank you all for following my blog and showing such a big interest in trading last couple of days. I have got a lot of e-mails with people wanting to start up trading and searching for any feedback/help in the beginning. And as i have told some of you, i am happy to help.

This blog was created some time ago to tell about my stories and to hear about other peoples stories. This is a hobby for me, so those of you who are asking about why i am being so helpfull without getting anything, i can just reply, that being helpfull is the only good thing you can do. I love seing people doing a great job on Betfair and i love hearing about that people who started up with my guide actually turned it to a daily profit!

    That really makes my day!

But i really dont have time to help that much this week because i am going on a unexpected trip to NYC. So please be aware that there might be some time between my answers on mail. I havent forgot any of you, but i am just really busy this week. I will get back to all mails waiting.

Thank you all very much, and thanks for following!

    Football related.

My screenshots about my football trading has given me a lot of feedback from you followers, most of you emailing me or contacting me on skype asking how this is done.

As always, where there is money, there is interest from others. All of us are dreaming of that secret formula that can give us a fulltime salary from trading sports. Lets be honest, is there a better job than sitting at home and making money by clicking the mouse?

But many of you always ask, how is this done, and guys, to be honest, what answer should i give you? If you were making a full time income, would you share it with anyone? So as many traders would like to answer these questions: Back high, lay low.

But, as a wise man said once, there are no stupid questions, just stupid answers. And i know how its like to be a newbie, or not succesfull at trading, no one starts out being succesfull, but we have different opinions on how much energy we should put into learning it.

So, instead of giving some stupid answers, i will try to give people some tips about strategies they could use. Leading them in the right direction.

First of all, you have to learn scalping, as a minimum!

What i do, is that i trade pre-match and in the half time. The profit made in the halft time or pre-match, is used to scalp in-play. BUT, not 100% of it, i dont want to go in details with the percentage used, but you should make your own calculations on how
  • FTSE 100

    16-02-2012 13:23
As i am waking up early these days, i am trying to evolve on Betfair and see if there are more opportunities where you can get some trades in. Many people out tere with jobs only have time very early in the morning, so many of you have asked about if there has been other opportunities.

And thats when i stumbled across the FTSE100 market. I have tried to trade this before, but didnt really put that much energy into it.

So this time i thought i would give it a SMALL try before the greyhound markets.

A great friend of my is a full time forex trader, so i thought i would ask him for an advice or two about the FTSE 100 market.

So with some tips from a full time trader, i jumped on the market. This is how it went:

(Some few markets traded from the 14th and 16th feb.)

Obviously its not much, but still good when you think about that i put very little energy into it.

I dont have that much experience on the markets, so my words are not wisdom, but i think i can give a few advices on the market.

First advice is, not being greedy! Heard that one before yes.
Second advice is, stay disciplined! Heard that one beofre yes.

Third advice, dont trade every market. I really think the most important thing at the FTSE100, (conclusion after 2 days trading) is to pick the right markets to trade. Trends are developing, and when a trend developes that you like, you trade it. If it doesnt develope,
  • Doggy trading!

    13-02-2012 16:22
As many of you saw on my skype today, the horseracing card was not that great, so in the early hours i decided to spend some time trading the dogs.

A lot of people have contacted me and been complaining about how poor the liquidity is on the dogs and that it cant be done to produce a profit long term on the dogs simply because of the gaps and the bad liquidity.

BUT, as i have told many of you, every market where money is matched, there is a great opportunity to earn some money. And around 100-150.000 kr (10.000 pound) being matched in 4-5 minutes, is great liquidity if you ask me. It does seem tough, and difficult to know how to get filled in between the gaps, but it is possible. So to prove it even more, i spend my time before the first horse race, trading dogs:

335 kr in 14 races. That gives me almost 24 kr pr race. When you think about that there is around 100 races a day, that is a huge daily salary to pull out.

Now, i know some of you are saying, yes but you cant keep that profit during a whole day, and that is true, be realistic, i cant keep it around 24 kr every race for 100 races. But i sure can keep it around 15-20 kr. I know many of you would be satisfied earning around 500kr (50 pound) a day, well here is a great opportunity.

Have patience, work hard, and everything is possible.

I have a greyhound trading guide for sale, i am not saying you would earn this kind of money during the first few weeks, but you

    Damn you Wolves-WBA!

The only game that went wrong today.

With a lack of horse races, and a great card of football, i decided that i was all in on football today. I only traded a few horses and focused on soccer. Not the same outcome as on the horses, but combined i had a great sunday!

6479.79 kr or just around 650-700 pound.

Timing and entry points are everything. Who knew that Novara would beat Inter? And Zaragoza beat Betis? Well you dont have to know if you know how to trade the right way.

    Happy trading!
  • Co-op trading! Who is ready?

    07-02-2012 13:33
I finally got some time to make this long waited co-op trading session.

    The rules are simple:

-3 greyhound races traded in a row. (The same 3 races for both traders)

-Only minimum stakes used.(But you can click as many times as you want. Minimum stake is 30 kr or 3 pound. Every pound made wil be calculated by 10 så we get the same result.)

    -Has to be recorded!

-Only 1 ladder at a time.(You can only record 1 ladder, that means that you can only trade 1 dog at a time. You can not have bets in the market at the other dogs while you are trading the one that is focused on)

The winner is the one who has made the biggest profit from these three races.
Every penny we make will go to charity. So if you make 10 pound, i will donate 10 pound to charity.

Contact me on skype if you are up for the challenge.

    Let the trading begin!
